    About Robinhood

Robinhood UK is a commission-free broker for US stocks and ETFs. You can buy fractional shares from $1, hold them in a brokerage account or in a Stocks & Shares ISA, and pay no platform fee. A currency conversion charge applies on every US trade.

    Sign Up Bonus Details

The headline is up to $175 in a free US stock, but 96% of rewards are $7-$8. Treat this as a small thank-you, not a real reward.

To claim it, you need a referral link from someone you already know with a Robinhood account. The FCA's financial promotion rules stop investing referral links being posted publicly, so ask a friend who's on Robinhood for theirs.

Sign up using their link, link a UK bank account, and put a deposit in within 14 days. You can only do this on the standard brokerage account. The Stocks & Shares ISA isn't eligible.

After signup, you have 60 days to pick your free stock from a list of US companies. The stock arrives a week after you claim it, you can sell after 3 trading days, but the cash is locked for 30 days. The stock sits outside the ISA, so any gain is taxable.

You must be a UK resident, 18 or over, with no previous Robinhood UK account. Employees of brokers and competing financial firms can't claim.

    Bonus amount: $7 - $175

    Hold period: 30 days

    Payout time: 7 days

    How to get your bonus

    Step 1

Ask a friend on Robinhood UK for their referral link. The ISA doesn't count, so they need to have the brokerage account.

    Step 2

Sign up via the link and open a brokerage account (not the Stocks & Shares ISA).

    Step 3

Link a UK bank account and deposit within 14 days of signing up.

    Step 4

Pick your free stock from the list of US companies within 60 days, otherwise it expires.

    Step 5

The stock arrives a week after you claim it. You can sell after 3 trading days, but the cash is locked for 30 days.

    Refer a Friend Bonus

Your referral link is in your Robinhood account. Each successful referral earns you a free US stock on the same $7-$175 schedule (so usually $7-$8), capped at $1,500 in stock per year.

The friend needs to be a new UK customer, sign up through your link, link a UK bank, and make a deposit within 14 days. Both rewards arrive a week after the friend claims theirs. The Stocks & Shares ISA isn't eligible on the friend's side, only the brokerage account.

    Referrer reward: $7 - $175

    Referee reward: $7 - $175

    Worth knowing

    Key features

    • Commission-free trading on US stocks and ETFs
    • Fractional shares from $1, so you can hold a slice of Amazon or NVIDIA without buying a whole share
    • Stocks & Shares ISA available alongside the brokerage account (covered by a separate offer)
    • Refer-a-friend pays both sides a US stock worth $7-$175, but 96% are $7-$8
    • FCA regulated

    Things to consider

    • 96% of rewards are $7-$8, not the headline $175
    • Reward is in USD, so the GBP value moves with the exchange rate
    • The Stocks & Shares ISA isn't eligible; only the standard brokerage account works
    • 60 days to claim before the stock expires, then 30 days before the cash can be withdrawn
    • Capped at $1,500 in stock per referrer per year
    • US shares need a W-8BEN form, and any gain outside an ISA is taxable
    • You need a friend on Robinhood to send you a link, the FCA's rules stop investing referrals from being posted publicly

    Frequently Asked Questions

No. Scrimpr does not host or share referral links for Robinhood. UK financial promotion rules and platform terms restrict the public sharing of personal referral links for regulated investing platforms, so even if we had one we couldn't put it on this page. To use the offer you'll need a referral link from someone who already has an Robinhood account — ask a friend, family member or colleague.

You'll need to find someone who already has an Robinhood account and ask them to share their unique referral link with you. Existing customers can usually find it inside their app or online portal under a "refer a friend" or "recommend a friend" section.

Yes. Robinhood is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) with reference number 823590. You can verify this on the FCA Register. As with any investment, your capital is at risk.

No. This page has no affiliate or referral links. We list the offer because it's a useful UK investing perk to know about, but Scrimpr earns nothing if you go on to sign up.

The usual ones: you'll typically need to meet a minimum deposit or transfer amount, hold the funds for a qualifying period, and be a genuinely new customer. Some platforms pay the reward as a gift card rather than cash. Read the "Worth knowing" and "Things to consider" sections above before going ahead, and always check the platform's current terms.
