Essential Steps

You need to get gold, it will become a limiting factor around level 13. To get gold:
- Make sure to do the Pirate Revel Cooking missions.
- Make food and sell it in the mess hall (exquisite tacos are a good option).
- Use all black market warrants to trade goods for gold.
- Whenever not completing missions etc, send your ship to autotrade to build your gold balance.
- Always set up autotrading to trade items for gold whilst you aren’t actively playing. Learn how to autotrade on higher paying ports:
- Make a trade route longer than you are away
- 20% bonus on ports your gang owns
- Use higher level ports
- Sell sought after products – green arrow ports
- Straight line routes
- Increase rep with Guilds
Where the hell do you get speed ups:
Everywhere.
- Exploring the map.
- Buying them from the shops (make sure to check back when the shop refreshes). To buy from these shops you need the various coins, and you get these from completing quests like Rogue’s Rumble (click on the adventure tab on mobile)
- From your alliance (from other players making purchases, and also rewards for the quests)
Explore! When you visit a port, use your spyglass thing to open up the mist and click the red banner on the island. Complete those mini quests for additional rewards. You want to open up the whole map and collect everything you can.
