ySense Review & Guide to Earn Spare Cash in the UK, 2024
Although Inbox Pounds is one of our favourite sites here on Scrimpr, and on the r/beermoneyUK community on Reddit – there is another. And it’s ySense. ySense, Swagbucks and Inbox Pounds, are all owned by Prodege – the most trusted name in the Get Paid To (GPT) industry.
Prodege sites have some of the best get-paid-to-play game offers available on the internet. They pay users to download and play games, or sign up to new services and give them a try. Together, they are three of the longest-running GPT earning websites, and the one of the ones that I have been using the longest. Across all three, I have earned several thousand pounds from when I started completing GPT offers signed up several years ago. Mostly, ySense has the same exclusive offers the same great offers as Inbox Pounds. But it also has additional plus more available via offerwalls, and it actually pays more because of its checklist bonus. There’s one strange caveat – rewards are shown in “dollars”, but these internet “dollars” can be exchanged on a 1:1 basis with GBP rewards.
Andeven though it is still an old favourite, I do use other sites too (and you can see which ones I recommend the most on my list and rankings of all Get-Paid-To websites). You can also check if ySense is paying the most for any offer using the Scrimpr Search Engine – my comparison tool that updates each day and allows you to see which reward websites offer the highest rewards for completing sign-up and game offers. Anyway, if you are not convinced yet that ySense is a legitimate and (sometimes) fun way to earn a little money, then hopefully our review and guide below will convince you that it is a good site to us

One of the most established online rewards platform with 3x points promotions on most offerwalls.
ySense is not as popular in the UK as it should be. Its seen as the worldwide version of Swagbucks, whilst Inbox Pounds is seen as the UK version. All three of these online earnings websites are owned by Prodege – the most established get-paid-to company. But ySense is perhaps the best paying Get-Paid-To website for British people. Users can boost their earnings by up to 16% by completing daily checklist tasks, and it often has special 3x promotions on various offerwall tasks (often it pays users £100+ to sign up to companies like Poker Stars). It does however display offer rewards in a confusing way – rewards are shown in “dollars”. However, when redeedming £1 = 1 ySense Dollar.
Just like Inbox Pounds, the ySense platform has an easy to use website that is optimized for mobile phones. But it also has an Android app. Tracking works seemlessly on Android devices (although those with older phones may experience issues), and it also works well on iOS iPhones, so long as people set up their iPhones correctly (See my instructions below). Withdrawals are usually pretty fast via PayPal, or various eGiftcards.(
Almost all of the UK offers that are discussed for Inbox Pounds and Swagbucks are also available on ySense – so it’s worth users checking out the r/Inbox_Pounds community on Reddit (run by yours truly). There’s over 2000 other UK users there who, share tips, and stay updated on the latest opportunities.
Pros
- Low minimum cash out of £5 (~£1.60).
- Special, exclusive offers not available on any other GPT site.
- Access to additional offerwalls lke RevU, Torox, or Lootably.
- Often has 3x points promotions on many offerwalls.
- Owned by Prodege, the largest and most established company in the get-paid-to space.
- The platform prioritizes user security with ID verification and offers fast withdrawal benefits for verified accounts.
- There is an active community of users on the r/Inbox_Pounds forum on Reddit that share their experience with offers.
- Has an Android app.
Cons
- No native app iOS.
- When you get past frontline support, service is good. But it can be a pain getting past automated responses.
Is ySense the Highest Paying Get-Paid-To Platform?
Yes and no! IySense is a Prodege-owned website that offers exclusive offers that are not available on any other site or app. But it also runs exclusive promotions on various offerwalls, which means that there are times when ySense pays more than any other site for offers available on those. But because the rewards on all platforms change so often, we made an offer comparison tool, “The Get-Paid-To Search Engine”. If you are going to start an offer, you should check the tool to see if any other sites will pay you more!

Guide to Earning with ySense
Set up your account
- Sign Up to ySense: First you need to sign up. You will help support Scrimpr if you sign up with this ySense sign up link.
- Verify Your Email: After signing up, open your email and click the verification link to confirm your email address.
- Explore and Earn: With your account set up, check out the offers available on the ySense website to start earning. When you complete one of the tasks on the offerwalls, you should receive a reward in your ySense account that you can then withdraw as cash (to PayPal) or various giftcards.
Set up your device
- Set Google Chrome as your default browser: advertisers must track your completion of any offers, and some browsers block the tracking. Chrome does not (do this even if you use the Android app, as it runs your browser in the background).
- Accept any cookies: These are required to track your successful completion of a task. If you did not accept cookies on the CashInStyle website, you must delete your browser history and reload the page. Then accept the cookies when the pop up shows.
- Disable any adblockers: These will prevent offers for tracking successfully.
- Enable cross-site tracking on iOS devices: By default, Apple turns off the tracking needed to verify your completion of an offer. Turn it back on.
Starting your first offer
- Navigate to the Offer Page: checkout the ySense featured offers, or those available from offerwalls like RevU, Torox, Lootably, AyeT, and MyChips.
- Select a Task: Choose a task that appeals to you. Each task will display the reward you’ll earn upon completion. But beware the games that pay very high rewards as these are usually not possible to complete without in-app purchases. I recommend searching the r/Inbox_Pounds subreddit to read other users experience with each offer (and for tips on the best offers).
- Read the Task Requirements: Carefully read the details of the task. It’s crucial to understand what you need to do, any specific requirements (like reaching a certain level in a game), and the time frame for completion.
- Screenshot the Task Requirements: Read the task requirements. You must understand what you need to do, any specific requirements (like reaching a certain level in a game), and the time frame for completion. Sometimes offers change after you begin the task. The reward offered when you started if what you will be paid, but the system is automated. So it is best practice to take a screenshow as proof, just in case you need to submit a support ticket to have an incorrect reward amound corrected.
- Begin the Task: Click on the task to start. If it involves downloading an app, you’ll be redirected to the app’s download page. If the task involves visting a website, make sure to accept cookies on that website.
DO NOT CHANGE YOUR INTERNET ONCE YOU HAVE STARTED AN OFFER.

Completing your first offer
- Check for a Guide: Make your life easier. There are some guides on Scrimpr here. But I usually start off writing these on Reddit for the r/GetPaidToPlay, r/Inbox_Pounds and r/BeermoneyUK forums. Lots of people also comment on how easy some of the offers are. The r/Swagbucks subreddit also has a lot of good information.
- Fulfill the Task Requirements: Follow the instructions to complete the offer. For example, if you need to use an app, make sure to follow any specific usage guidelines provided (e.g. complete a specific level, make a deposit).
- After Completing an Offer (or a task) Keep the browser or app open for a little while after completing each task to ensure that your completion is tracked properly. Then, for good measure, close and restart the app.
- Take a Screenshot: As soon as you complete part of an offer, take a screenshot as proof (incase you need to submit a support tick/claim).
- Check Your ySense Account: Once the task is completed and tracked, your Inbox Pounds account should be credited with the promised coins. This might take a few minutes to a few hours depending on the task, but some offers can take several days (especially bookmaker/casino offers).
Redeeming Your Inbox Pounds Balance
- Visit your ‘Account Ledger’: Once you’ve got more than £5, you can go to the account ledger to cash out. To access the account ledger, click on your balance in the top right corner of the webpage. Or visit it here: https://www.ysense.com/account-ledger.
- Choose Your Redemption Option: Select how you’d like to redeem your earnings. The most popular option is PayPal (paid in GBP), but some people like to get a gift card!
- Enter Redemption Details: Choose how much of your balance you want to redeem, and enter the information required for your chosen redemption method. For example, for PayPal, you’ll need to enter your PayPal email address. This should be the same email address as your ySense account (if you set up your PayPal account using a different email, then you should add your ySense email address to PayPal
- Receive Your Earnings: Once processed, you’ll receive your earnings through the selected redemption method. Inbox Pounds processes payments several times a week. If you do not receive your cashout within a week, then you should submit a polite support ticket to chase the payment (if they hold the payment, it usually means your account has been flagged for review, and they will ask you to verify with ID).
What To Do When an Offer Does Not Track
Even if you have followed our suggestions for setting up your devices set up to allow cookies, tracking, and completed an offer properly and within the relevant timeframe, sometimes an offer will just not track. When this happens, you will need to provide as much proof as possible that you completed an offer to the Offerwall. They will then try to claim the money from the advertiser. Here’s what to do:
Contact ySense via your Account Ledger
- Visit your account ledger: and then find the entry for the specific offer that you participated in.
- Submit a ticket: on the ledger entry, click the mail icon or “contact customer support” and fill our the form with the details of the offer you are having issues with. Always include a screenshot showing that you have completed the requirements, and if you used an Android device then it is also helpful if you include your Google Advertiser ID.
Follow Up
- Monitor Your Request: Keep an eye on your email for any updates or responses to your support request. Usually Inbox Pounds support respond within a few days, but sometimes (if they need to get in touch with an advertiser) it can take a week or longer.
- Provide Additional Information if Needed: ySense might ask for more details or clarification. Respond promptly, and politely to ensure a smooth resolution process. Attach all the screenshots that you have, or that they ask for. And remember that they cannot pay you if they do not get paid.
- Be Patient: chasing payment can sometimes take a while. Give Inbox Pounds some time to investigate. If you haven’t heard anything for a week, send a polite chaser asking for an update.
- Expect an automated email at first: ySense have started sending automated messages as a first response to support tickets. If you get a automatic decline, or a response that doesn’t really make sense, then politely follow up and ask for your case to be escalated.
Additional Steps
- Check Online: Sometimes specific offers have issues, or they track at a level above what is in the terms.
- Use Recommended Browsers, Devices, and Device Settings: Some tasks may only track correctly if completed using certain browsers or devices. Follow any recommendations provided by the task instructions to avoid tracking issues. And check out our tracking instructions below.
Inbox Pounds Frequently Asked Questions
ySense is an affiliate marketing platform, and it earns revenue through partnerships with advertisers, offering various tasks for users to complete in exchange for rewards. This business model is common among get-paid-to (GPT) sites like Freecash (and Swagbucks which is owned by the same company as ySense). It is the same model used by cashback platforms (like Topcashback). Essentially, they make money by acting as a middle-man that connects advertisers with potential customers.
- ySense displays advertising offers from different “offerwalls,” which are platforms that collect tasks from advertisers.
- You can choose tasks like answering surveys, installing apps, or playing games.
- Completing tasks earns ySense money from the advertisers.
- ySense share a part of this earning with you in the form of points.
- You can exchange these points for cash or gift cards, based on your preference.
Like all get-paid-to sites, ySense offers ways to earn. I mostly like game and sign up offers. But here is a fuller list:
- Completing surveys
- Installing and testing apps
- Playing games
- Signing up for apps and services
- Searching the internet
Earnings from ySense will vary widely based on the number and type of tasks you complete, as well as the time you invest.
Like all GPT sites, ySense is decent for those looking to make some extra money online. But it won’t make you rich, and the earnings won’t replace even a part-time income. But they can provide a little supplementary cash flow for little effort.
You must be at least 16 years old to use ySense in the UK. If you are in the USA, then the minimum age is 13, but it is 16 in all other countries.
ySense is available worldwide.
To cash out from ySense, you must navigate to your account ledger page (access by clicking on your balance at the top of the main page). Here, you just select your preferred payout option to withdraw. There are several options:
- Cash via PayPal
- Various gift cards.
Ensure you’ve met the minimum threshold of £5!
Users can cash out from a minimum of £5.
Yes, often ySense requires identity verification. This is to ensure the security of the platform. But ySense may not be very upfront about this. If your account is flagged for review, then you will experience a delay in payment (and you will wonder where your reward is). If this happens, then you will need to submit a support ticket and ySense will ask you to verify your account with ID> The good news is that once you have done this, then you will get paid out faster on your subsequent payment requests.
This is a actually common practice among rewards platforms to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with legal regulations. It usually happens if an account has been flagged. For verification, ySense use the third-party service, Persona. Verification includes providing photo ID to confirm that you are a genuine user.
How to Minimize Issues with ySense
Tracking is enabled by default in Google Chrome. It is the best browser to use.
This speaks for itself. GPT offers are adverts. You will not get paid if you have adblocking software running.
- Open the settings app.
- Click Safari
- Make sure “prevent cross-site tracking” is turned off.
- Make sure “block all cookies” is turned off.
- Make sure “hide IP address” is turned off.
- And whilst you are there, turn off “Ask websites not to track me”.
Once you have done all of that, test out your tracking with a low-paying, easy offer.
If you use Chrome on your Apple device, make sure to enable “Cross-website tracking” in the Chrome settings too.
- Open “Settings” on your iPhone and/or iPad
- Find the “Privacy” section and click on it
- Click “Tracking”
- Enable “Allow Apps to Request to Track” by toggling the button on
Whenever presented with the prompt, “Allow (APP NAME) to track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites.”, choose to allow!
Avoid using a VPN while completing tasks, as they are against the terms of all get-paid-to platforms. Offerwalls rely on your real IP address to verify task completions, and VPNs can mask or change your IP address, leading to platforms thinking you are trying to abuse the system (from another country). If you use a VPN, you will end up banned.
Offers are for new users. To be credited, it must be the first time (at least on a specific device/app store profile) that you have completed an offer.
Ensure you complete each offer on the same device you started it on. Switching devices mid-task can interrupt the tracking continuity, jeopardizing the success of your task completion and the subsequent crediting of rewards.
