There are a lot of food and drink services in the UK that offer a discount or freebie when you first sign up. Meal kit boxes, coffee chains, grocery delivery, restaurant apps — most of them have some kind of welcome offer to help you try the service at a reduced price or for free.
I’ve listed the current offers below for subscriptions or apps that I am an active member of (I most recently joined Simmer to try them out). Where possible, I’ve included links that give you a better deal than signing up directly. It’s also worth checking cashback sites before signing up — you can often get cashback on top of the welcome discount.
Good to know:
Most offers are for new customers only and usually apply to your first order or visit. Some have a minimum spend. Referral links often give a better deal than the standard promo codes you’ll find on voucher sites.

How to Get the Best Deal
Check cashback sites first. Before signing up to anything, have a look on TopCashback or similar. A lot of food and drink services pay cashback on new sign-ups, and you can usually combine that with the welcome offer.
Referral codes are usually better than promo codes. The generic codes you find on voucher sites tend to give less than a referral link from an existing customer. The offers in the table above use referral links where available.
Student discounts can stack. If you’re a student, a lot of delivery apps (Deliveroo, Uber Eats) give 10-20% off on top of any sign-up offer. Register with Unidays or StudentBeans first.
What Types of Offers Are Available?
Coffee chains like Costa, Caffe Nero and Greggs give you freebies just for downloading their loyalty apps — free coffees, free hot drinks, bonus stamps. No purchase necessary for the sign-up reward in most cases.
Meal delivery apps (Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat) typically offer free delivery or a percentage off your first few orders. Some also have subscription options like Deliveroo Plus and Uber One that give free delivery each month.
Recipe boxes (HelloFresh, Gousto, Mindful Chef) usually have a discounted first box — a good way to see if the service suits your household before committing to the regular price.
Grocery apps run welcome vouchers and free delivery passes. Worth combining with supermarket cashback for extra savings.
Restaurant and pub apps often have welcome offers too — free starters, birthday meals, or loyalty points on your first visit. Apps like Wetherspoons, Nando’s and Pizza Express all have rewards programmes worth joining if you eat there regularly.

Why some links have an *
When you click a link with an * and sign up, I get paid a small commission from the provider — usually a few pounds, sometimes more. That's how Scrimpr stays free and how I pay for the time I put into it.
Worth knowing:
It doesn't affect what I recommend. Plenty of platforms I rate highly don't pay me anything. The order is what I'd tell my mum.
You don't pay anything extra. Many of the * links unlock a sign-up bonus you wouldn't get going direct.
If you'd rather not use my link, just search the platform name yourself — same product, same price, just no commission for me. No hard feelings.
When a competitor's link gives you a better bonus than mine, I'll tell you. Look for the “Better bonus elsewhere” callouts — I get nothing if you take those, and you should.
Different sites pay wildly different amounts for the same thing — one might pay £10 cashback whilst another pays £15. I like to make the most of things, and I got tired of opening ten apps to compare every time. So I built these tools. They check 30+ sites each day and show you which one is paying the most.
The links in this tool are refer-a-friend links — the same referral mechanic any user gets when they share their own code. When you sign up through one, the platform pays Scrimpr a small referral bonus, the same as if a friend had referred you. That's what keeps the tool free.
Worth knowing:
Ranking of each site is by what the platform pays YOU. Whether Scrimpr earns a referral bonus doesn't affect the order — it's purely the user payout.
I do highlight certain offers, which are usually ones I have taken part in myself.
Your rewards are the same whether you use my links or not, but many of my links unlock a sign-up bonus you wouldn't get going direct.
Don't want to use my link? Just search the platform name yourself. You will get access to the exact same offers shown here. No hard feelings.
