What Actually Works
Cashback apps for supermarkets - Buy gift cards through apps like JamDoughnut, use them for normal shopping, get 3-5% back instantly. I've been doing this for two years and saved £400+ on groceries alone.
Online cashback for everything else - TopCashback and Quidco for online purchases. Sometimes the difference between platforms is 5-10%, which adds up quickly on bigger purchases.
Service switching - Energy, broadband, mobile contracts. The switching bonuses alone can save £300+ annually if you do it properly.
Student discounts - If you're eligible, student platforms offer 10-20% off most online purchases. Much better than the standard 5-10% most people get.
My Current Setup
