Reign of Pirates is basically the same game as Sea of Conquest – just made by a different company. It’s a mobile strategy game where your flagship acts as your main base that you constantly upgrade by building different cabins (rooms) inside it. You can build gun bays for combat power, storage rooms for trading cargo, crew quarters for sailors, drill halls for training, and production rooms that make resources. You also build a fleet of up to 4 additional side ships that follow your flagship around the ocean.
The game features extensive PvP combat where you’ll fight other players’ fleets in real-time naval battles. You’ll also join a gang (guild) with other players to participate in territory wars, help speed up each other’s upgrades, and coordinate attacks on rival gangs. Gang membership is essential for progression as you’ll need their help to reduce building times.
Already played Sea of Conquest? Good news – you already know how to play this! The gameplay is identical, so you can use the same strategies to quickly reach the reward levels.

Sometimes you might run low on resources required to level up. So here are the best ways to manage your resources effectively and get all that you need.
Materials and Building Resources
Wood, stone, and iron are your basic building materials. Here’s how to get them efficiently:
- Build and upgrade resource production buildings (Lumber Mill, Stone Quarry, Iron Mine).
- Send your ship to gather resources from resource nodes on the map.
- Complete daily quests and missions that reward materials.
- Trade with other players or ports that have surplus materials.
- Raid other players’ ships for resources (if you’re strong enough).
- Check alliance stores for material bundles.
- Use speed-ups on resource production when you’re actively playing.
Getting Gold (Critical Around Level 13)
You need to get gold. It will become a limiting factor around level 13. To get gold:
- Complete all of the treasure maps.
- Make sure to do the Pirate Revel Cooking missions if it appears (you can earn a few million gold on this event, just cooking items!).
- Make food in the Galley and sell it in the Mess Hall (Heavenly Fried Tacos are a good option).
- Use all black market warrants to trade goods for gold.
- Buy gold from any limited event stores!
- Whenever not completing missions etc, send your ship to autotrade to build your gold balance.
- Always set up autotrading to trade items for gold whilst you aren’t actively playing:
- Make a trade route longer than you are away
- 20% bonus on ports your gang owns
- Use higher level ports
- Sell sought after products (green arrow ports)
- Straight line routes
- Increase rep with Guilds
Speed Ups
Where the hell do you get speed ups? Everywhere:
- Exploring the map.
- Buying them from the shops (make sure to check back when the shop refreshes). To buy from these shops you need the various coins, and you get these from completing quests like Rogue’s Rumble.
- From your alliance (from other players making purchases, and also rewards for the quests).
Complete Reign of Pirates Guide
