No. You need a card on file to start the trial but you won't be charged until month 7 if you stay subscribed. Cancel anytime during the 6 months and you pay nothing.
Up to 4 years from the start of your Prime Student subscription, or until you graduate, whichever is sooner. After that you go onto the standard Prime rate. You can re-verify each year if Amazon prompts you to.
Both qualify. Apprenticeships and many sixth-form colleges issue .ac.uk emails that work for verification. If you don't have one, Amazon also accepts photos of an enrollment letter or student ID with proof of date.
